Hector Ponce de Leon is one of the world's top high altitude mountaineers. He is fluent in Spanish and English, very charismatic, humble and his wonderful personality makes him a favorite with our clients. He has led and guided over twenty five Himalayan expeditions including fourteen 8000-meter expeditions to; Everest summmiting from both the Nepal and Tibet sides, Broad Peak, Cho Oyu, Gasherbrum II, Kangchenjunga, K2, Makalu and Shishapangma. Elsewhere, he's led trips Aconcagua, Ama Dablam, Chimborazo, Cotopaxi, Huscaran, Huayna Potosi, Illampu, Illimani, Sajama, Tocllaraju and many other smaller peaks across the globe. He is a certified mountaineering instructor with the Spanish Mountaineering Federation and has rescue course certification with the Spanish Mountain School.
